Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 25 June 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how TipsRex ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores and shares personal data when you visit tipsrex.com (the "site"). It also sets out the rights you have over your data under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD). If anything here is unclear, email us at info@tipsrex.com before continuing to use the site.
Who we are
TipsRex is an independently run website offering football scores, statistics, odds and betting tips. We are the controller of the personal data covered by this policy. For any privacy or data-protection question, contact info@tipsrex.com and we will reply within 30 days. If you need the operator's full legal identity in order to make a formal rights request or a complaint to a supervisory authority, we will provide it on written request.
Who this policy applies to
This policy applies to everyone who visits tipsrex.com, wherever you are. The site is intended for adults aged 18 or over (21 or older where local law requires it). We do not knowingly collect data from minors, and if you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
What personal data we collect
Information you give us. You can browse the site without an account, so we only receive details you choose to provide, for example:
- If you email us, we keep your address and the content of your message for as long as we need it to reply and to keep a record of the exchange.
- If you subscribe to a newsletter or tips email (where offered), we collect your email address, and optionally your name, and store it with our email provider. You can unsubscribe from any email we send.
- If the site offers comments and you leave one, we collect what you submit (such as a name and email) along with your IP address, to publish the comment and to help filter spam.
Information collected automatically. When you visit, our hosting and service providers record technical data such as your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, the page that referred you and the pages you view. We also use cookies and similar technologies and collect aggregated analytics about how the site is used. These are explained in the sections below.
Legal basis for processing (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on one or more of these legal bases under Article 6 of the GDPR:
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)): for newsletter sign-ups and non-essential cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)): for security, spam protection, aggregate analytics and replying to your messages, balanced against your rights.
- Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)): where the law requires us to keep or disclose data, such as in response to a valid court order.
Cookies
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device when you visit a site. We group ours into three categories.
Strictly necessary cookies keep the site working and secure, including session cookies, security tokens and the record of your cookie consent. They cannot be switched off.
Functional cookies remember preferences you have chosen, such as details you entered in a form so you do not have to type them again. They are optional, and you can clear them from your browser at any time.
Analytics and advertising cookies measure how the site is used and support the ads and affiliate links that fund it. They are set only after you consent through our cookie banner, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Our Cookie Policy covers all of this in more detail.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand site usage in aggregate, such as which pages are visited, where traffic comes from and what devices are used. IP addresses are anonymised before processing, and Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months and then deleted automatically. You can read how Google handles this in the Google Privacy Policy. To opt out, you can decline analytics cookies in our banner, install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or turn on "Do Not Track" in your browser.
Advertising and affiliate links
TipsRex shows advertising and includes affiliate links to licensed bookmakers, which is how the site is funded.
- Display ads on the site are served by third-party ad systems that may set their own cookies for delivery and measurement. These are set only after you consent through our banner.
- When you click an affiliate link, the bookmaker may set a tracking cookie so the referral can be credited to us. We receive aggregated reports, such as the number of sign-ups, but not your individual betting activity, identity or financial details.
Affiliate commission does not influence which tips or bookmakers we feature. Our editorial choices stay independent, as explained on our About page.
Embedded content from other sites
Pages may include embedded content such as videos, images or social-media posts from other websites. Embedded content behaves as though you had visited the other site directly, so that site may collect data about you, set its own cookies and track your interaction with the content, especially if you are logged in there. We do not control what they collect.
Who we share your data with
We share personal data only with the categories of recipients below, and only where needed:
- our hosting and content delivery providers, which store the site and server logs;
- our email provider, where you have subscribed to a newsletter or tips email;
- Google Analytics, for aggregated usage statistics;
- advertising and bookmaker affiliate partners, as described above, who receive only standard click-tracking data;
- law-enforcement authorities or courts, but only where legally required and only the data specifically requested.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not pass data to the bookmakers we link to beyond what is sent automatically when you click an affiliate link, such as the referring URL and our affiliate ID.
International data transfers
Some of our providers, including Google and our email provider, may be based outside the EEA, in particular in the United States. When personal data leaves the EEA or UK, we rely on a recognised safeguard, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (where the provider is certified), the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, or an adequacy decision where one applies.
How long we keep your data
- Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe, after which your address is removed from the active list within 30 days.
- Contact emails: up to two years after our last contact, then deleted.
- Comments (where offered): kept while the comment remains published, and you can request deletion at any time.
- Server logs: rotated and deleted after 30 days.
- Google Analytics data: retained for 14 months, then deleted by Google.
- Backups: may persist for up to 90 days after deletion.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and UK GDPR. If you are in the EU, EEA or UK, you have the right to access your data, correct it, ask us to delete it, restrict or object to how we use it (including for direct marketing), receive it in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority, usually the one where you live. You can find the relevant EU authority at edpb.europa.eu, and in the UK this is the ICO.
Under the CCPA (California). If you live in California, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to ask us to delete it, to opt out of any sale of personal information (we do not sell it), and not to be treated differently for exercising your rights.
Under the LGPD (Brazil). If you live in Brazil, you have the rights under Article 18 of the LGPD, including confirmation that we process your data, access, correction, anonymisation, portability, deletion, and information about who we share your data with.
To exercise any of these rights, email info@tipsrex.com. We will respond within 30 days and may ask you to confirm your identity first, to protect your data from unauthorised access.
How we protect your data
We use sensible technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including HTTPS encryption for all traffic, access controls on any administrative areas, regular software and security updates, reputable processors with their own security commitments, and regular backups. No system is completely secure, but we work to make a breach as unlikely as possible.
Data breach procedures
If we become aware of a personal-data breach that is likely to put your rights and freedoms at risk, we will notify the competent supervisory authority within 72 hours, as required by Article 33 of the GDPR. If the breach is likely to be high risk to you, we will also tell affected users directly without undue delay.
Data we receive from third parties
We may receive aggregated, anonymised data from affiliate partners, such as the number of conversions or a breakdown by region. We do not receive identifiable data about you as an individual from these partners.
Automated decision-making and profiling
We do not use your personal data for automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on you, and we do not run profiling on user data ourselves. Third-party advertising systems on the site may use profiling for ad targeting. You can opt out of personalised advertising at youronlinechoices.com (EU/UK) or aboutads.info (US).
A note on gambling content
TipsRex publishes content about football betting but is not a gambling operator. We do not take bets, hold customer funds or process gambling transactions, and we do not knowingly market gambling to minors. If you ask to be removed from our marketing, for safer-gambling reasons or any other reason, your address will be permanently blocked from our mailing list.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when the most recent change was made, and we will highlight any material change on the site for a reasonable period.
Contact us
For any privacy question, complaint or rights request, email info@tipsrex.com. We respond within 30 days, usually sooner.
Frequently asked questions
Do you sell my personal data?
No. We do not sell personal data. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the site (hosting, Google Analytics, our email provider) and with affiliate partners under standard click-tracking, exactly as described in this policy.
How do I delete my data?
Email info@tipsrex.com with the subject "Data Deletion Request" and tell us what to delete (newsletter subscription, contact messages, comments, or everything). We will confirm receipt within a few days and complete the deletion within 30 days, and we may ask you to verify your identity first.
How do I unsubscribe from emails?
Use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email we send, which takes effect immediately. If you have any trouble, email info@tipsrex.com and we will remove you manually.
What cookies does TipsRex use?
Three kinds: strictly necessary cookies for the site to work, functional cookies that remember preferences if you opt in, and analytics and advertising cookies that are set only after you consent through our banner. You can review or change your choices at any time. Our Cookie Policy has the full list.
Where is my data stored?
Operational data such as server logs is stored with our hosting provider. Some providers, such as Google Analytics and our email service, may process data in the United States or elsewhere, protected by the safeguards described in the International data transfers section above.
How can I complain about how my data is handled?
Please contact us first at info@tipsrex.com so we can try to put things right. If you are still not satisfied, you can complain to your national data-protection authority (the EU list is at edpb.europa.eu, and in the UK it is the ICO).
